For the first time ever, Taylor Swift Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor Version) has been played in full — and it couldn’t have debuted in a more dramatic way.
The highly anticipated re-recorded track made a surprise appearance in The Handmaid’s Tale, kicking off episode nine of the latest season on Hulu. The episode opens with a powerful scene: a group of handmaids marching together in formation as they prepare to rise up against their oppressors — and in the background? Taylor’s icy anthem blasting in full force.
It’s a moment that fans — of the show and of Swift — won’t soon forget.
Elisabeth Moss, who stars as June Osborne and also executive produces the show, has been dying to use a Taylor song for years. In a statement to Billboard, Moss shared how special this moment was:
“I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show… there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment.”
Moss also admitted she’s a full-blown Swiftie, and said the whole cast — including Yvonne Strahovski — is just as obsessed.

Fans may remember Moss showing her Swiftie pride last year when she hit up the Eras Tour in Toronto with her co-star Bradley Whitford. His wife, Amy Landecker, even shared a photo of the group hanging out with none other than Mariska Hargitay.
“Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” has popped up before, but only in teasers — like in Apple TV+’s The Dynasty: New England Patriots and Amazon’s Wilderness. But this is the first time fans have heard the full version of the track, and let’s just say, it did not disappoint.

This latest drop has fans even more hyped for Reputation (Taylor’s Version), the re-recorded version of Taylor’s 2017 album. So far, she’s re-released Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989 — and fans have been analyzing every outfit, lyric, and Instagram caption for clues that Reputation is next.
Some fans are convinced Taylor teased the era last summer during her London Eras Tour stop. Others point to the black snake necklace she wore to support boyfriend Travis Kelce at the AFC Championship Game in January as a major hint.

Speaking of Kelce, Taylor’s been cheering him on at games, including the one where the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Bills to make it to the 2025 Super Bowl — though they ended up losing to the Eagles.
Regardless, one thing is clear: Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is coming — and if this Handmaid’s Tale moment is any sign, it’s going to be darker, bolder, and even more unforgettable than we imagined.
Stay tuned, Swifties.
