Wes Scantlin, frontman of Puddle of Mudd, is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The 52-year-old rocker was arrested in Torrance, California, after an alleged fight with his girlfriend turned physical in the early hours of March 11.
According to TMZ, police arrived at Scantlin’s apartment after receiving a call about a disturbance. When officers spoke with both Scantlin and his girlfriend, they determined that what started as a verbal argument had escalated into a physical altercation. Authorities reportedly noted visible marks on the woman’s arms.

As if that weren’t enough, when police searched Scantlin, they allegedly found a small amount of drugs on him. This led to his immediate arrest on charges of domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance.

Jail records show that Scantlin was taken into custody just after 4 a.m. and booked around 5:12 a.m. He remained behind bars until March 15, when he was released on bond. He is now facing felony charges and has upcoming court dates scheduled for March 28 and April 15.

This latest run-in with the law is just one of many for the troubled musician. Earlier this month, Scantlin raised concerns after a bizarre performance at a charity concert, later claiming he had been drugged by a former bandmate. Less than a year ago, he was arrested following a dramatic SWAT standoff after refusing to exit his vehicle during a traffic stop. In 2015, he was arrested twice for allegedly driving under the influence.
As of now, neither Scantlin’s representatives nor the Torrance Police Department have commented on the incident. Fans of the “Blurry” singer will have to wait and see what happens next as he prepares to face the court once again.
