Get ready, Wednesday fans — the queen of deadpan is back, and this time, the stakes are even higher.
Netflix just dropped the official trailer for Season 2 of Wednesday on July 9 (yes, on a Wednesday), and it’s packed with mystery, mayhem, and a haunting vision that could change everything. Jenna Ortega returns as the spooky, sharp-tongued teen, and from the looks of it, her second year at Nevermore Academy is going to be anything but quiet.
New Year, Same Darkness
Last season, Wednesday cracked the case of the Hyde monster and saved Nevermore from destruction. But don’t expect her to soak up the praise. As everyone at the gothic boarding school starts calling her the “savior of Nevermore,” she’s completely unimpressed.
When asked how it feels to be back at school, she coolly replies, “Like returning to the scene of the crime… I already know where the bodies are buried.” That’s classic Wednesday.
And if the eerie new headmaster, played by Steve Buscemi, thought he’d be dealing with a normal student? Think again.
Fame Isn’t Her Style
Now that she’s a bit of a celebrity among her classmates, Wednesday finds her dorm door covered in fan art and autographs. Her solution? “We need to set bear traps out here,” she snaps. Fame clearly doesn’t suit her, and being put on a pedestal only seems to annoy her more.

But her fame is the least of her worries.
A Chilling Vision
The trailer takes a darker turn when Wednesday sees a terrifying glimpse of the future — her best friend and werewolf roommate Enid (played by Emma Myers) is in danger. In fact, she sees her die.
And Wednesday believes it’s her fault.
In a rare moment of vulnerability, she confides in her mother, Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones), saying, “Enid dies and it’s all my fault.” Morticia, calm and commanding as always, promises to help prevent the tragedy, warning her daughter not to let the past repeat itself.

Wednesday, of course, isn’t one to sit back. “The sooner I get answers,” she says, “the sooner I can save Enid — or die trying.”
Cue the goosebumps.
What to Expect This Season
This time around, Nevermore’s not just a school — it’s a ticking time bomb. With Wednesday facing scary visions and strange happenings once again, she’ll need to trust the people around her… if she can.
According to Netflix’s official summary, Wednesday will wrestle with friendships, family drama, and returning enemies — all while tackling another chilling supernatural mystery that could threaten everyone she cares about.
And yes, the trademark wit, creepy-cute moments, and twisted humor are back in full force.

From creepy corridors to cursed secrets, Season 2 promises more of everything fans loved about the first. But this time, it’s personal. With her best friend’s life on the line, Wednesday is more driven — and more dangerous — than ever before.
