A former Indiana teacher is in deeper legal trouble as new charges surface in a shocking case of alleged child sex crimes. Brittany Fortinberry, 31, now faces a total of 29 felony charges after a sixth alleged victim came forward with accusations. Prosecutors claim she arranged group sex with middle and high school boys as young as 13, requiring them to wear Scream masks during the encounters.
Morgan County prosecutors have filed 24 additional felony charges against Fortinberry, including five Level 1 child molestation counts—each carrying a potential sentence of 20 to 40 years in prison. Other charges include sexual misconduct with a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and disseminating harmful material to minors.
Court documents reveal disturbing details from one of the victims, who claimed boys would “rotate every 15 minutes” during encounters that lasted for hours. Five victims had previously come forward in early March with similar allegations.

Fortinberry was initially arrested in February and charged with sexual misconduct and other offenses. She worked as a substitute teacher for the Metropolitan School District (MSD) of Martinsville before being fired in January 2024. She had previously taught at Eminence High School, where some of her alleged victims were students.

The scandal has also affected her personal life, as her husband, Nicholas Fortinberry, filed for divorce in February. The couple had been married since 2020.
Fortinberry’s trial is set to begin on June 25. She will be formally advised of the new charges at a court hearing on April 3.
