A Florida woman was caught on camera hurling a brick through the window of her ex-husband’s home—apparently as a not-so-romantic tribute to their first date.
Authorities in Lee County shared the footage online, showing 34-year-old Sabrina Coyne in action. The video, taken from a doorbell camera at a home in Bonita Springs, was posted with a playful twist—the song It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy playing in the background.
According to police, the homeowner woke up in the middle of the night to a loud crash and banging on the front door. When officers arrived, they found Coyne still outside.
Bodycam footage captured their conversation. An officer asked if she was the one knocking, to which she casually replied, “Yeah, I’m trying to get in touch with my ex-husband…” She insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong, even as officers questioned her about the shattered window. “I did not break the window!” she repeated.
However, the video told a different story. The footage clearly showed Coyne tossing a brick—engraved with the date June 14, 2020, which police suggested might have marked the couple’s first date.
Coyne was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied dwelling. She was later released on bond, paying $5,000 for the weapon offense and $2,500 for the criminal mischief charge.
