Country music’s beloved queen, Dolly Parton, is pressing pause on her long-awaited Las Vegas shows. The 79-year-old superstar shared with fans that she’s facing some health issues and needs time for a few medical procedures before she can get back on stage.
The six-show residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was set for December, but now the dates have been pushed to September 2026. Dolly explained that while she’s eager to perform, she simply won’t have enough time to rehearse and put on the kind of dazzling show her fans expect.
“I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say,” she joked in her announcement, adding with a wink that this isn’t “the usual trip to my plastic surgeon.”

The legendary singer, known for hits like Jolene, 9 to 5, and I Will Always Love You, didn’t go into details about her health, but she recently revealed she’s been dealing with a kidney stone and an infection that forced her to skip an appearance at Dollywood.

Despite the setback, Dolly reassured everyone she’s not planning to retire anytime soon: “God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”
This year has already been an emotional one for her, following the passing of her husband Carl, her partner of nearly 60 years. She recently dedicated a heartfelt song, If You Hadn’t Been There, to his memory.
Fans who’ve already bought tickets don’t need to worry—original tickets will still be valid for the new dates, and refunds will be available.
So while it may take a little longer for the neon lights of Vegas to shine on Dolly again, the star promises it’ll be worth the wait.
