After nearly a decade of love, laughs, and a shared In-N-Out burger, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially gone their separate ways.
The pop star, 40, and the actor, 48, who got engaged in 2019 and share a 4½-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove, have ended their relationship, PEOPLE confirms. The news was first reported by TMZ.
Their love story kicked off in 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty—with a burger, no less. Katy once joked that she met Orlando after he reached over to snatch one of her In-N-Outs. “Hey, that’s my burger!” she recalled saying during an episode of American Idol.

Not long after their burger bonding moment, they went Instagram official during the Cannes Film Festival. But like many modern romances, their relationship had its ups and downs. In early 2017, they took a break—though they stayed on good terms. “We’re friends, it’s good,” Orlando said at the time, adding that they wanted to set a positive example, especially for children.
They rekindled things in 2018, quietly spending time together without putting a label on it. That same year, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at a gala in Monaco.
Then came the fairytale proposal. On Valentine’s Day 2019, Orlando popped the question, complete with a heartfelt plan and a ring—and yes, he asked her parents’ blessing first.
The couple shared the news of their pregnancy in Katy’s 2020 music video for Never Worn White, and later that year, welcomed their daughter Daisy. Their wedding plans, originally set for Japan, were postponed due to the pandemic.

Over the years, they continued to support each other. In 2024, Katy received the prestigious Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs—presented by Orlando himself. She also cheered him on at the premiere of his film The Cut in Toronto.
As recently as January 2025, Katy spoke warmly about their connection, emphasizing how learning each other’s love languages helped them grow. But hints of strain showed up during her Lifetimes Tour stop in Las Vegas, where she jokingly scolded a fan for DM’ing “her man.”

Despite their high-profile life, their relationship always had a grounded side. Katy once called Orlando a “sage,” admiring his deep, spiritual nature—while also acknowledging the ego battles they both navigated.
Sadly, even the most magical stories sometimes reach an end. While their romance may be over, the love they built—especially for their daughter—will no doubt continue in new ways.
