Cassie Breaks Her Silence—Ready to Testify Against Diddy in Sex Trafficking Case
Singer and model Cassie Ventura is stepping forward in a powerful way—choosing to testify publicly against her ex, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, in a federal sex trafficking case.
Cassie, 38, won’t be hiding behind a pseudonym like the other alleged victims in the trial. She’s ready to take the stand using her real name, something prosecutors confirmed in a recent court filing on April 4. It’s a bold move in a case that’s drawing massive media attention—and only getting more intense as the trial date approaches.
Combs, 55, is facing a mountain of serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He’s also been slapped with more than 60 lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct—allegations he strongly denies.

But Cassie’s involvement is personal—and very public. Back in May 2024, the world was rocked when CNN released hotel surveillance footage that allegedly showed Combs chasing, grabbing, and assaulting Cassie at the InterContinental in Los Angeles back in 2016. The disturbing video appeared to back up the claims Cassie made in a 2023 lawsuit, which was later settled out of court.
According to prosecutors, Combs allegedly lured women—sometimes under the guise of romance—before forcing them into what they described as “freak offs,” elaborate and disturbing sexual encounters he allegedly orchestrated and controlled through threats and manipulation.

The newest charges unveiled in the April 4 indictment include even more sex trafficking claims tied to a second victim. Prosecutors say Combs and his crew knowingly used force and coercion to get her involved in commercial sex acts. While Cassie is coming forward with her name, three other alleged victims are choosing to stay anonymous, asking the court to protect their identities to avoid media harassment and public backlash.

Combs’ legal team is fighting back, especially when it comes to that surveillance video. They’ve accused CNN of altering the footage—claiming the news outlet edited the timeline and sped it up to make things look worse than they were. But Cassie’s attorney isn’t having it. He says the video is real, raw, and telling—and that it will hold up in court.

As of now, Combs is behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting his trial set to begin on May 5. He’s pleaded not guilty to all charges.
