Cassie Ventura is stepping into the spotlight for a very different reason—and doing it with strength and grace.
The singer and model, known for her early 2000s hit “Me & U,” is now a key witness in a high-profile federal trial involving her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs. On May 13, Cassie took the stand in New York City, where she opened up about the deeply painful and disturbing experiences she says she endured during her 10-year relationship with the music mogul.
Cassie didn’t hold back. Her testimony included harrowing details about alleged abuse—claims of being forced into degrading sexual acts, and enduring violence and control she said lasted for years. She spoke of so-called “Freak Offs,” events she described as drug-fueled encounters orchestrated by Diddy, some lasting up to four days.

Meanwhile, Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, has been by her side every step of the way. The couple, who tied the knot in a beachside Malibu wedding in 2019, share two young daughters—Frankie and Sunny—and are now expecting their third child, a baby boy. Despite the intense court proceedings, Cassie remains focused on her family. At eight months pregnant, she’s still showing up with unwavering resolve.

Their love story is a quiet contrast to the chaos unfolding in court. Since their wedding, Cassie and Alex have shared glimpses of their life together—full of daddy-daughter dance parties, family trips, and tender Instagram tributes. On Father’s Day, Cassie celebrated Alex’s hands-on parenting, while Alex called her “the best mama” on Mother’s Day.
Back in November 2023, Cassie filed a bombshell lawsuit accusing Diddy of rape, physical abuse, and trafficking over their decade-long relationship. Though the case was settled within a day, it triggered a wave of similar lawsuits and sparked a federal investigation. In September 2024, Diddy was arrested and later indicted on serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Things escalated in May 2024 when footage surfaced of a 2016 hotel assault allegedly showing Diddy attacking Cassie. Alex Fine responded with a powerful Instagram message, calling out violence against women and those who stay silent about it: “Men who hit women aren’t men,” he wrote.

Now, with her testimony making headlines and a new baby on the way, Cassie’s message is clear: she’s done staying silent. She’s choosing courage, family, and healing—and she’s doing it all under the most public and painful spotlight imaginable.
