Cardi B Breaks Down the Sky-High Cost of Raising Her Kids Amid Explosive Offset Drama

Cardi B is making one thing loud and clear: raising her kids is not cheap.

The rapper, 32, didn’t hold back during a recent X Spaces chat, where she broke down the hefty price tag of parenting and took aim at ex-husband Offset for allegedly not helping cover the costs. This all comes after reports that Offset filed for spousal support following Cardi’s July 2024 divorce filing, when she also revealed she was pregnant with their third child.

Cardi and Offset share three kids 6-year-old Kulture, 3-year-old Wave, and 8-month-old Blossom. And according to Cardi, their lifestyle is anything but ordinary.

“Y’all wanna know what the kids’ bills look like? Start adding,” she said, before listing out some jaw-dropping numbers. For starters, the kids have their own personal driver and that driver is on a $10,000-a-month retainer.

Then there’s Kulture’s private school, which Cardi says costs $45,000 and that’s just tuition. The older kids also get tutoring four times a week, and Kulture takes piano lessons that run $300 per hour, three times a week. Wave? He’s in boxing. And both kids do gymnastics.

When it comes to help at home, Cardi’s cousin babysits Kulture and Wave and earns $3,000 a week. Blossom has a nanny who’s paid $500 per shift. And to top it all off, the kids have a personal chef who cooks daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., since, as Cardi puts it, “people in my house don’t have time to cook.”

And that’s not even counting food, clothing, or all the extras that come with raising three children in the public eye.

But beyond the financials, Cardi also got emotional and angry about Offset’s involvement in their kids’ lives. She claimed he’s barely been present for their youngest daughter, Blossom, and said he stood the kids up on three occasions.

“I want you to die. But I want you to die f—ing slow,” she said on X, speaking directly about Offset. “Kiari is allowed to see my kids. There is not one day that he’s not allowed to see my kids. He has seen Blossom only like five times.”

Offset, who’s previously denied allegations of infidelity, allegedly filed for spousal support after Cardi filed for divorce. The pair have had a rollercoaster relationship, including a 2020 divorce filing that Cardi later called off.

Now, things appear to be messier than ever both in court and at home.
