A political podcast critical of Donald Trump has just pulled off a shocking upset, beating The Joe Rogan Experience in total downloads and views over the past month.
According to data from Podscribe, The MeidasTouch Podcast saw a staggering 101% surge in reach, amassing 56 million downloads and views across platforms, including YouTube. Meanwhile, Rogan’s long-dominant show slid to second place, tallying 48.6 million—down by 32% from the previous month.
Podscribe’s ranking system estimates the total number of listens and views a podcast gets each month across all its episodes, both on audio platforms and YouTube.

Hosted by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordan Meiselas, The MeidasTouch Podcast has gained a loyal audience by delivering sharp political analysis with a dose of humor. The brothers aren’t new to the media world—Ben is an attorney best known for representing NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Brett is a two-time Emmy-winning video editor for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Jordan previously worked as an award-winning advertising executive.

Recent episodes have covered Trump’s headline-grabbing appearance at NASCAR’s Daytona 500, a series of aviation incidents linked to his administration, and controversial tariff policies. The podcast’s unique mix of news coverage and playful banter has struck a chord with millions of listeners worldwide.
“Their unapologetic support of democracy and hilarious sibling dynamic have made them social media icons,” reads the show’s Spotify description.
Despite The MeidasTouch Podcast’s rise to the top, conservative-leaning shows still dominate the Podscribe charts. Following Rogan in second place, Candace Owens’s podcast took third, with The Diary of a CEO, This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von, the Shawn Ryan Show, and the Dan Bongino Show rounding out the top spots.
Meanwhile, The Ben Shapiro Show landed at number nine, sandwiched between NPR programs in eighth and tenth.
Rogan and Von, in particular, have been credited with boosting Trump’s popularity among young male voters in the 2024 election cycle. In fact, just last month, the Biden administration opened its doors to influencers and podcasters, leading to a flood of press pass requests from independent media figures.
The shift in podcast rankings signals a changing media landscape—one where a fresh, unapologetically political podcast can take on the giants and win.
