Kristen Bell is gearing up to host the 2025 SAG Awards, and she’s dropping some big hints about what fans might see during the show—especially when it comes to Wicked.
The hit movie musical, which leads the night with five nominations, seems to have cast a spell on Bell, who joked in an interview with PEOPLE that she’s been struggling to keep the entire show from revolving around it. “I just think it’s the most important film we’ve ever made,” she said with a laugh. “I say ‘we’ even though I wasn’t in it, but I know people involved, so I feel like I can say that.”
A Wicked Performance in the Works?

When asked if fans should expect a big musical number, Bell played coy but didn’t shut down the possibility. “We shall see,” she teased. And if someone were to bet on it? “I’d put money on it if I were you,” she added.
With Wicked competing in categories like Best Cast in a Motion Picture and standout acting nods for Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and Jonathan Bailey, a tribute performance wouldn’t be a huge surprise—especially considering Bell’s household is full of Wicked superfans. Her daughters, Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10, are obsessed with the movie, making it a big deal for three out of the four family members. (Sorry, Dax!)

Will Dax Shepard Attend?
While Bell will be front and center, her husband, Dax Shepard, may not be in attendance. “Honestly, we never have babysitters available, so sometimes he just stays home,” she admitted. “He’ll be like, ‘God bless, have fun, hope you do great!’”
Bell’s Big Night

Aside from hosting duties, Bell is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor for her role in Nobody Wants This, alongside Adam Brody, who earned a nod in the male actor category. She’ll be competing against Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), and Jean Smart (Hacks).
The 31st annual SAG Awards will stream live on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST. Will Bell bring a little Broadway magic to the show? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
